The State Key Laboratory of Plant Environmental Resilience (SKLPER) is a national research laboratory dedicated to making cutting-edge scientific research on plant stress biology. SKLPER was founded on the basis of the former State Key Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry and integrated several national and provincial research platforms of China Agricultural University. SKLPER focuses on the fundamental and applied scientific research to improve environmental resilience and resource utilization of major crops to contribute to food security and sustainable agriculture.
The research topics at SKLPER include:
(1) The physiological, biochemical and molecular basis of plant responses to stress.
(2) The regulatory network for efficient utilization of nutrients and light in plants.
(3) The molecular basis for plant adaption to complex environments.
(4) Establishment of crop environmental resilience trait coupling model.
